The site is off a quiet road with the last half mile down a country lane. Travel north over the Tyne on the Western Motorway (past the MetroCentre). Leave at the exit for Gosforth Park and follow the old A1 north so you are parallel to the road you have left. Cross the first roundabout and continue to the traffic lights with a pub facing you. At the traffic lights turn left and travel about a mile and a half till you come to the "Big Waters" pub on your right. Slow down and a little further on your right you will see the nature reserve sign pointing to the right. Turn and follow the path. As you drive down the single vehicle lane you will see two open areas on your right. |
